Energy Efficient uPVC Windows – Changing apartment buildings

14 March 2016

Having an energy efficient home is the best contribution that you, as an individual, can make to the environment. We, at Teva, are a proudly energy efficient company that always promote a greener way of living and we do that through the production and installation of energy efficient uPVC windows and doors.

We were privileged enough to take part in a development project, namely 22 On North, Dunkeld West; where the property group were specifically striving for more energy efficient apartments. The project required the design and build of 36 apartments of varying dimensions which in turn meant the production and installation of 418 energy efficient uPVC windows and 51 energy efficient uPVC doors by ourselves. The buyers of the apartments were given the choice between single and double glazed energy efficient uPVC windows and doors and chose the latter due to the fact that the double glazing provides more energy efficiency and is more soundproof.

Low Maintenance Energy Efficient uPVC Windows

The reason why energy efficient uPVC windows and doors were included in the original brief is due to their energy efficient features – keeping the heat in, in winter and the coolness in, in summer as well as the fact that they require little maintenance. Unlike your standard wood or aluminium windows and doors, energy efficient uPVC windows and doors will not rot, warp or fade and they require no sanding or painting.

Building long term, energy efficient apartment buildings has its benefits – the lay-out (from an expense point of view) might seem slighter more but the amount of money saved on maintenance will definitely make up for it! As a property developer, having  uPVC windows and doors installed in future apartment building developers will definitely be the smarter choice.

Through our energy efficient uPVC windows and doors, we will continue promoting a greener future for all.
